New Users
To post ads to the site new users are required to register, all you have to do is choose a username, enter your e mail address, if the username you chose is in use you will be asked for another. We will send you a numerical password, when you login you will be directed to your Profile page you can change your password to one which is easier to remember, you can edit your profile at any time.

To get you started we give you fifty credits which will enable you to promote five of your free ads to featured status or post and feature a business ad which will be on line for one year.

Basically this means that you can advertise your business using up to 1,000 characters of text and upload up to nine images, a media file, a You Tube video, a Google map of you business location and all your contact details including a live website link, free for one year.

Site Navigation
You can navigate through the site using the drop down menu that will follow you down the page, or use the button and text links on the pages, clicking either the Home button on the top menu or the one part way down all pages, you will all the categories and sub categories are listed on this page. You can also use the Find a Category from the top menu in it are some of the most used categories.

Place An Add
To place an advert first login, navigate to the category you wish to place an ad in then click the Submit ad button, a form will open which when filled in will post you ad to us, be sure to fill in all the fields marked with a * when you have the form complete Click Ok

A page will open showing you your ad if you are not happy with it click modify, this will allow you to make changes to it, when you are happy Click Ok

The ad will go on line as soon as it has been reviewed by one of our staff.

Expiration Time
Different categories have varying expiration times, recycling offered and wanted ads expire after 30 days, while holiday accommodation and business listings expire after 365 days, some for sale ads expire after 90 days. We will mail you ten days before your add is due to expire, if you have not sold the item you can login and renew your add for another period. If you sell your item at any time during the initial period or subsequent periods, you can delete your listing to avoid being contacted unnecessarily.

Track A Category
If you are looking for something in particular, navigate to the category you are interested in and click Notify me when new ads are submitted in this category, then enter your e mail address in the box provided, you will receive a notification as and when new ads are submitted.

Uploading Pictures
Most add categories allow up to 9 pictures, some also allow a media file, to upload a picture click on Browse beside the picture field and locate the picture on your computer, that's it, when you are finished and click Ok the image or images will be uploaded to our site.

We have set our system to downsize large images to 640 pixels wide, if you can resize your images to this width before you upload then it will save time and the possibility of the server timing out while resizing very large images.

Images that are wider than they are long (Landscape) display better, if they are long and narrow (Portrait) in most cases the user will have to scroll his or her window to view the entire image, the ideal image size is 640 pixels wide and 480 high.

Searching
If you are looking for something in particular you will discover our software has a very powerful search facility.

Suppose you are looking for a county fair, navigate to the Town and County Fairs page in events and click the search button (shown on the right). A form will open with five fields, if you don't enter anything in these fields and click search all the county shows in the database will be shown. You can enter a town or make multiple county selections, if you select County Tipperary and Cork you will be shown all the shows in those counties.

Editing Text.
We have includes a very powerful WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editor with it you can include most of the features used in website creation, below is a selection of the features.

• You can change the image size and how it displays on the page.

• Choose from 199 special characters to insert.

You can insert images along with the text and use them as links to yours or another site. When doing this please select open in a blank window.

Google Maps

To get the embed code for a Google map of your location go to Google Maps (Opens in a new window) type in the address of your business, or for users in the north just enter your post code, this will bring up your street, you can further refine it if you wish.

When you are happy the location is right, click the Link in the top right hand corner of the map. Highlight the code beneath the text Paste HTML to embed in website. see image on right

Then paste the code into the map field in the form, that should be it

Only then did we begin to appreciate exactly what those people were experiencing, advertising is indeed expensive, however we are tackling the problem, and we invite you to post your business details, items for sale or wanted, even things you wish to give away and we would be most appreciative if you recommend us to your friends and colleagues.

You tube

You can insert the embed code for a You tube video in your ad, when filling in the form you will see the You Tube box click the link to You tube's site, enter your sites name in the search box on You Tube, if you find a suitable video click Share and then Embed copy the embed code and paste it in the you Tube box in our form, that's it.
