| Description | This heritage center is the only one in Ireland devoted to polar explorer Ernest Shackleton. Highlight of this center must surely be the beautifully constructed 4.6 Meter (15 Ft) model of Shackleton's ship Endurance. There is an audio visual display of his 1914-16 expedition. Another exhibition covers the Gordon Bennett motor race. |
